Let’s talk about putting yourself in control of your money.
We all have to deal with financial institutions. And all financial institutions have rules. Do they teach you the rules? No. We have to learn as we play, and unfortunately we can lose thousands and thousands of dollars by learning the rules as we go along.
It’s kind of like Tic-Tac-Toe. Remember when you first played Tic-Tac-Toe? You and I lost regularly until what? Until somebody showed us how to play the game. Well, my job isn’t to play the financial game for you. My job is to teach you the rules, and teach you how to be efficient and how to be effective with the dollars that pass through your hands during your lifetime.
Can You Access Your Money?
Let me give you an example: One day, a gentlemen came into my office. He had quite a bit of money saved, but he had it saved in financial institutions where he couldn’t gain access to the money. As it turned out, he needed the money for certain things in his life, and the money was there, but because of the type of financial vehicle he had it in, he could not get to his own money! When I told him at what age he could expect to have access to the money in the financial vehicle he was in, only then did he realize that he had a partner, and that partner was the IRS.
It’s very important that you understand the financial vehicles that you have your money in so that you learn how to control, have access to and have liquidity to your dollars. Having a bunch of money in a financial vehicle that you cannot get to does not do you much good if you can’t access funds when you need it.
Knowing the Rules
I want to teach you the rules of the game. I want to teach you how to play so that you can be in control of your money, as opposed to my client who thought that he was in control of his money until he realized he needed the money, and then he found out he had NO control of the money. The financial institution controlled the money.
I want to teach you how to be your own banker, how to be in control of your money. How does that sound? If you want to be in control of your money and your financial future, I’d love to have a conversation with you. Just give me a call or shoot me an email.
